We’d like to introduce the latest addition to our team, Valarie Davis! Valarie is from Payson, Arizona but recently moved to Ohio. She is helping with our inventory as well as shipping and receiving. We spoke with her about her background, her experience at Olsträd so far, and what she likes best about working here.
“I’m originally from Phoenix, AZ but moved to Payson. I went to school for pre-med, but I decided to take time off after having kids. A few years later, I returned to school for criminal justice, but being a full time mom and full time student wasn’t working out.
I ended up working for the government at the respiratory care board for 11 years. After that, I became the quality control manager for an ammunition company. I did everything there— online sales, inventory, quality control, shipping and receiving, etc. That’s where I originally learned Fishbowl (Fishbowl is an inventory management program).
Initially, I came to Olsträd as a consultant for Fishbowl, and ended up joining the team full time. We were switching everything over from Quickbooks at the time, and it was a little crazy. Thankfully, Kaitlin has been such a great trainer and Jennifer just knows everything; Clint is the same. Steve is so nice and helpful, too.
That’s what I like about Olsträd. It’s a small crew, but everyone is so nice and work together really well.
