Employee Spotlight: David Smith

For this week’s edition of the Employee Spotlight, we’d like to introduce one of the latest additions to our team, Elektrogas brand manager, David Smith! We recently spoke to David and got to know a little bit more about him. He talked about his education, background, and experience so far working for Olsträd Engineering.

“I attended 3 different schools from 2005 to 2014, and received degrees in automotive technology, design, and mechanical engineering. I started out working on cars. I guess you could say that was sales work as well, because you have to sell what’s wrong with the car to the customer.

Since joining the team at Olsträd, I’d say my biggest challenge has been learning all the parts. There’s so many pieces to everything, and the technology behind them can get pretty complicated.

However, Mark has helped me out a lot. We’ve spent hours going over all of this stuff, and he has gone out of his way to help me through the material and I really appreciate that. Clint has been a big help, too. I really want to be efficient and effective and help take the weight off of other people’s shoulders.
