Visiting Our Italian Partners: May 2022 pt.3

Bern, Switzerland

After finishing the meetings with our Italian partners, our team headed towards Switzerland for a short holiday. We left Milan by train, for Bern. The train ride through the Alps was very scenic, but our train unexpectedly passed Bern, causing us a delay.

The Zytglogge

Bern is an amazing city, there are statues and artwork everywhere you turn. Switzerland is famous for its clocks and watches, and they’re everywhere in the city. Probably the most famous of which is the Zytglogge, with its ornate decorations and vivid colors. Anywhere you look, there seems to be a unique piece of art.

Statues on the streets of Bern

After a day in Bern, we headed to Zurich. The “Old Town” area of Zurich is lively and vibrant. There are shops, cafes, and restaurants everywhere. Like Bern, there are many clocks in Zurich, and at the end of the day, the clocks ring in unison for a quarter of an hour! The sound really reverberates across the water and throughout the city.

Zurich

Unfortunately, a sudden rainstorm descended on Zurich and there was a heavy downpour. We had to take cover until it passed, but once the rain stopped, everything resumed. We only spent one day in Zurich, but the city is beautiful and the food was delicious.

Cordon Bleu

Overall, our trip was great. There were some delays in travel, but everything else went smoothly. We’re looking forward to the next time we see our Italian partners!
