Recently, members of our team attended the AFS Cast Expo 2022 show in Columbus, Ohio. Cast Expo is the largest metal casting and industry trade show in North America. Numerous casters, furnace manufacturers, equipment suppliers, and technology support \/ solutions providers set up exhibits. The show was at the Columbus Convention center in downtown Columbus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were approximately 100-200 exhibitors for the show. An AFS member explained to us that the show is typically larger, and that some exhibitors were still uncomfortable with returning to in-person events due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation. However, there were still many people in attendance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We took classes, walked the floor, and made some new connections. Our team found the lectures insightful, and it was exciting to see the displays of full-scale, operational equipment. Some students had an area reserved for demonstrations, too. There were also some very unique approaches to marketing; some displays featuring massive LED screens, some special guest appearances, and others with unique giveaway items. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were evaluating whether this event would be a good fit for our company, and after making some quality connections, we’re hoping to make the event next year as exhibitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
