Saroj Dahal is one of our engineers at Olstr\u00e4d Engineering. We recently spoke with Saroj about his background in engineering, some of his accomplishments, and what he likes about working for Olstr\u00e4d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI studied at Kent State University (KSU), my major was Mechanical Engineering Technology and my minor was Sustainability. I was also a member of the American Foundry Society for 3\u00bd years, and became Vice President of our chapter in my senior year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I always enjoyed learning about physics. My father and uncle were both mathematics teachers, so my background in this area is very strong. I also developed a passion for PLC during my coursework at KSU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I came on board to Olstr\u00e4d as an intern, and learning all the new devices and concepts was a real challenge. There was a project over the summer where we had to integrate products from 3 different manufacturers. I\u2019m not sure if these parts had ever been configured together, but I made it work. I felt like that was a big achievement for me. Of course, the team helped me a lot; that\u2019s one of the best things about working for Olstr\u00e4d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company culture is very cooperative and conducive to learning. Steve is always a mentor to me, and Will, Stephen, and Sean have given me a lot of help, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In engineering, you should master the basics if you want to advance, and Olstr\u00e4d has been a great place for that. There\u2019s always a new device to learn, a new project to work on.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
