Olstr\u00e4d Engineering Corporation’s Quality Management System has been certified to ISO 9001:2015<\/a>. Reaching this certification is one of the ways we show our dedication to delivering quality systems and support. Our customers expect excellence and we thrive on a job well done. Shipments must be right the first time, every time.<\/p>\n

Our manual, procedures, work instructions, and forms make up the Quality Management System. Our manual defines the flow of work. Through our manual, we state our quality policy. Our procedures explain what we do in each situation. We create work instructions to adhere to our proven processes. Our work instructions explain how we perform each task. Our forms are there to capture complete information for action and filing.<\/p>\n

The manufacturers of our key brands, ESA<\/a> and Elektrogas<\/a>, are also certified to ISO 9001, and attaining this milestone shows our solidarity with our partners.<\/p>\n

The Road to ISO 9001:2015 Certification<\/h4>\n

Much of 2020 was spent operating as though we were already ISO 9001:2015 certified. We worked hard to document processes, generate forms, and define work instructions. Taking advantage of the downtime resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, we made this positive move. As we were already following many ISO 9001:2015 guidelines, the work was in recording our processes and organizing them.<\/p>\n

It’s important to evaluate suppliers. This isn’t something you can do just once. Every order that comes in is an opportunity. If there’s an issue, the supplier must be notified. The supplier’s plan to prevent similar issues in the future is an important part of the evaluation. A supplier that doesn’t meet our quality standards will be disqualified.<\/p>\n

It’s important to evaluate results. We send short surveys to our customers after each shipment. We compile and analyze the data we get back. Your feedback is important!<\/a><\/p>\n

Future Path: ISO 14001<\/h4>\n

It was easy to make a decision to push ahead with an Environmental Management System certification through ISO 14001. Environmental issues affect us all, and we all need to do our part. Industrial heating, whether through combustion or electrical means, will require significant changes in the near future.
