Baron von Olstr\u00e4d shills our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.combustion911.com\/products\/pressure-switches\/c911-p\/\">C911-P pressure switches<\/a>, in the oddest way possible. Here is our (by now) annual retrospective, where we unveil the originals next to their parodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\" id=\"block-60f55d28-6d62-47ff-bbd3-2d23b17725cf\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"808\" src=\"https:\/\/www.combustion911.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/01_2023-12-29_shweppes.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1785\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-5c4a23b8-b26f-4374-938a-21f3b92fae95\">What does ginger ale have to do with space? Probably nothing! But that didn&#8217;t stop Schweppes, and it wasn&#8217;t going to stop us, either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\" id=\"block-c29185f6-70d9-4e7a-aea7-902c60f27f99\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"808\" src=\"https:\/\/www.combustion911.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/02_2025-01-10_columbia_house.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1786\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-9900038b-634c-4316-bdfd-2c580ca2471b\">People of a certain age will recall sending away little stamps to Columbia House for CDs, Cassette Tapes, and yes, even 8-track Tapes!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\" id=\"block-9b4c8292-0441-4435-847e-1ebfd6dcafe7\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"808\" src=\"https:\/\/www.combustion911.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/03_2025-01-10_mcdonalds.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1787\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-fb7881b8-a1fc-4280-acfb-8c74f3b67c3d\">Mac Tonight, the deranged moon-headed, piano playing McDonald&#8217;s creature has always been a source of mild terror for consumers. I love the way he seems to fly(?) above the tranquil suburban scene, where his victims rest, unaware of his presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\" id=\"block-286af2f5-1047-4966-bdfb-55353c1583bc\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"808\" src=\"https:\/\/www.combustion911.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/04_2025-01-10_lego.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1788\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-cd71e4f5-1d6c-4fba-b74b-0eade6bdd8db\">LEGOs are super cool and so is this kid and whatever the heck it is they built.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\" id=\"block-9ea5dcab-89aa-4390-b490-dab37c90b703\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"808\" src=\"https:\/\/www.combustion911.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/05_2025-01-10_arcade.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1789\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-ba7f5696-c210-4756-8803-c47ca55c708b\">People of a certain age will remember Jean-Claude Van Damme, famous for doing the splits in unusual locations. It was like planking, if you remember that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\" id=\"block-3336f36f-a1e7-4f44-9768-23020350566c\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"808\" src=\"https:\/\/www.combustion911.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/06_2025-01-10_carlsjr.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1790\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-cfd275ad-9413-48c0-bf0e-eccdb4ac500f\">Do you think Paris Hilton is really a cheeseburger fan? So many people are paid to be the face of a product, but we might trust ads more if they were legally obligated to use the product\/service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\" id=\"block-e121a8f1-cf47-4295-a68b-269b4dd31a95\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"808\" src=\"https:\/\/www.combustion911.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/07_2025-01-10_jvc.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1791\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-147fd7e9-3d62-429d-9c9f-5e9bbe84f423\">I guess the idea here is, if you&#8217;re going to visit the a desolate area, you&#8217;d better make sure you have your boombox, and two of your favorite cassettes. Sort of a &#8220;deserted island&#8221; situation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\" id=\"block-cdf8d10a-a3af-424c-936c-784749646a00\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"808\" src=\"https:\/\/www.combustion911.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/08_2025-01-10_hawaiian_punch.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1792\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-39443172-c138-47b7-a0ae-cf6c19c00f92\">Was she swimming? Or is it so hot outside that she&#8217;s sweating profusely? I&#8217;m worried about this person. I don&#8217;t think there&#8217;s much hydration in a little box of Hawaiian Punch (P-P-Punch!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\" id=\"block-a78c6339-3449-40e3-ad61-31df7c21e749\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"808\" src=\"https:\/\/www.combustion911.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/09_2025-01-10_bionicle.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1793\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-7cef8f28-e357-4b59-8c46-0aed6e3eb45f\">Beyonc\u00e9 did an ad for LEGO Bionicle? Why? This must be the wrong timeline. Also we used two LEGO ads this year! For shame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\" id=\"block-d98f2e08-5094-46d4-b6c4-06f34d4440a1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"808\" src=\"https:\/\/www.combustion911.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/10_2025-01-10_cheeze_wiz.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1794\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-28f68798-ff41-432b-b9cb-6cac1fa72977\">This is absurd. Cheez Whiz isn&#8217;t food. The only thing that makes sense is if the vampire&#8217;s victim is super slow from consuming too much molten &#8220;cheez.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.combustion911.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/11_2025-01-10_nintendo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"808\" src=\"https:\/\/www.combustion911.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/11_2025-01-10_nintendo.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1795\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-7bb0db53-2a81-4188-8e53-c0f33bae3931\">This lovely ad was a clever way to fool parents into thinking that purchasing a Nintendo Entertainment System (too long!) meant extremely satisfying family time. Not sure this reflects the majority of use cases, but rock out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.combustion911.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/12_2025-01-10_typewriter.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"808\" src=\"https:\/\/www.combustion911.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/12_2025-01-10_typewriter.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1796\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Is this one even an ad? There&#8217;s no visible brand. Is the ad for typewriters? Sweater vests? Dentistry? Who the heck knows? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-c843eb90-f044-4a50-8f1a-97afbf9c220f\">These images, and the Baron von Olstr\u00e4d character, are drawn by our VP of Marketing, Clint Hall.
