This valve is suitable for discharging excess or leakage gas into relief lines, for venting to a safe location (or atmosphere). They function by means of a reverse solenoid valve. This means without power, the valve is open. An inner spring pushes on the magnetic core, opening the sealing disc and allowing gas flow to the relief line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.combustion911.com\/products\/industrial-gas-valves\/vent\/vmrna\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">VMRNA<\/a>s might be found on the main gas manifold of a combustion system. There are a few scenarios where a normally-open vent valve may be used. In each case, when the system de-energizes, upstream safety valves close so that that fuel gas inside of the pipe can discharge into a safe area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When the system has power, the vent valve closes while the main shut off valves open, allowing flow to the burner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These valves are part of the safety chain for the combustion system when present.
