Kent, Ohio is a scenic city. Our offices are close to downtown, near the Cuyahoga river. With so many parks and amenities nearby, we encourage our employees to take full advantage of them. We keep kayaks on site, and welcome our team to take them out, and enjoy them safely.
Recently, we took our interns out for a cruise down the river. We expect a lot from our interns, but we also want to make sure their time here is enjoyable. The job can be demanding, but we also want our team to have fun and be happy. We think a relaxing ride down the Cuyahoga is great way for them to unwind.
We involve our interns in as many aspects of our business as we can. Everything from working on projects, to customer visits, trade shows, and beyond. We believe this firsthand experience helps them prepare for their future careers. Sitting in an office, working on one small aspect of a large project might work for some people, but that’s not Olsträd. We want our internships to be high impact and have a significant, positive effect in the growth of our interns.
